What is iPOS?

Over time, applications evolve, and in order to offer our customers the best solutions to meet their business needs, we need to receive the correct training to adapt to each new application!

A brand-new application was developed by Infor’s partner, Professional Advantage. The application is called iPOS and it covers entire procurement processes, from when requisition is raised, to when invoices are posted.

To remain up to date, we received intensive training from Professional Advantage’s team, which covered all the areas from installation of the tool, to end-user functionalities.

What training did we receive?

During the one-week training, we learned not only about iPOS, but also discovered different systems and functionalities that interact with the application itself. We had the chance to test our business analysis background and SunSystems knowledge, but also expand our development skills in terms of system settings and connections establishment.

Being experts in SSPR and SunSystems brought a great advantage to the FSS team to easily understand the new web-based tool and perform high-level tests to determine to what extent the tool interacts with SUN.

What conclusions did we draw?

Our FSS Team concluded that the results from these high-level tests indicated that iPOS is fully integrated with SunSystems and works better with SunSystems v6, even though it is also compatible to earlier versions of SUN.

Further analysis upon the results suggested that to significantly raise customer awareness for SUN version upgrade, fully integrated web-based tools are needed. This can occur exactly before, or in conjunction with, the new tool implementation.

How did we put this training into practice?

From the training received, our FSS team completely built an iPOS system from start to finish, including process design and ERP – SunSystems integration, as well as acheiving iPOS certification for FSS Global and ensuring 100% readiness for on-site customer implementation
